1The first time you give somebody something for free, you are creating appreciation.
The second time, you create anticipation.
The third time, expectation.
By the fourth time, you are creating entitlement.
And by the fifth time, you have created dependency.
If by the sixth time you don’t give it to them, you create resentment and hatred.
Giving should always have a limit, because if you are burnt out there is nothing left for you to give.
If anyone tells you otherwise, it is because they are on the receiving end, and want to take advantage of you. Especially the ones that do not even attempt to give anything in return.
