From the Depths - Heinkel Wespe
The Heinkel Wespe was a proposed vertical takeoff and landing, tail-sitter interceptor with annular wings housing a large set of contra-rotating propellers. If produced, it would be the world's first fighter aircraft powered by a turboprop engine.
As presented in "From the Depths", the aircraft is built to a larger scale to match the capability of enemy units supplied with the default planet. It is armed with 4x 88mm autoloading cannons firing HE-frag shells, and 2 twin 30mm cannons in cheek mounted barbettes.
A set of short range IR homing missiles are enclosed within the outer ring of the annular wings along with basic IR countermeasures and a quad 30mm tail turret.
