This is something that I've been wanting to do for awhile and with having recently returned from a trip, it seems like a great time go for it.
So, in short, I want to essentially repeat Linus Tech Tips' 30 day linux challenge where I want to fully migrate away from Windows and run linux for at least 30 days and see how it goes.
This first part covers the set up that I went through to get ready for the migration. This includes choosing the linux distribution that I'm going to use (which will probably not surprise any of you. I'm rather boring after all), getting windows installation media set up on a usb stick (as Plan B if I fail to successfully transition to linux after 30 days), and getting my bootable linux installation onto another usb stick. I also talk through other parts of my general plan of attack.
