Blasphemous is a 2019 Action Platformer developed by Seville-based The Game Kitchen and published by Team 17 known for its wonderfully grotesque catholic aesthetic and being one of the 2D pixel art soulslike metroidvania games to come out of the video game Kickstarter boom. Underneath the surface, however, there is a lot more going on, and that is the focus of this video.
