OnAir Airline Manager New Player Strategy and Tips:
From Solo Play to Regional Airline! You too can have a profitable regional airline in 8 days of trial.
1. Centralize! Pick a single centralized hub as your starting airport.
2. Jet Hubs: minimum level 4 airport; Prop Hubs: minimum level 2 airport.
3. Rent only. Buy only to replace profitable rentals.
4. Exploit AI to make your money by having it do the boring and long distance stuff.
5. Skill points: loans are not needed, go full FBO skills for your hubs.
6. Hire freelance at non-hubs to keep your planes flying (buying planes, etc). Employees are cheap. Flying is money.
7. Get in the habit of hiring black bar skilled employees basing them at your hub, and then training them to what you need.
8. Prefer high paying single hop jobs (maximum distance, max cargo, max passengers) for faster returns.
9. Search jobs to include local airports, and use fleet to move pax and cargo to hub for delivery.
10. Returning home empty is ok, as this eliminates micromanagement of available employees and planes.
11. Once you have a basic fleet fully owned, replicate it at a new hub to gain even more lucrative FBO jobs!
Bonus Tip for those who actually read this far:
12. You're AI is not limited to only planes in your sim. To maximize your profit, have them fly bigger, and better planes that you may not have access to in your sim. Yes, even you can make money flying that 700 passenger heavy jet, even if you don't have it in your game. Just don't be THAT guy snapping up all the global hires when you figure this out. ;)
