FTL - E11 Part 2 - Engi Cruiser Type B
22The Engi Cruiser Type B (The Vortex) starts with but a single crew member aboard. This lone Engi soldier, accompanied by its drone compatriots, can only bust through a single bar of shields with the ship's single Ion blaster and Heavy laser. The Heavy laser makes a decent one power weapon system even in the late game, but only if you have the firepower, drones, or hacking necessary in order to break through an enemy ship's Shields system. But because the Engi Cruiser ships only have the capacity for three weapons, you might be better off replacing it with something else entirely later on.
