FTL - E13 Part 2 - Zoltan Cruiser Type B
18The Zoltan Cruiser Type B (Noether) starts with the respectable Pike Beam for its damage dealing, relying on a pair of simple Ion Blast weapons to take down enemy shields. The three big good things about this ship, are 1) starting with 3 Zoltans, 2) starting with weaponry that can take out ships with technically any number of shields, and 3) starting with the Zoltan supershield. Theoretically you shouldn't need to spend that much scrap on repairs, but until you can save 100 scrap for that first Shield upgrade, you're relying entirely on the supershield to prevent any hull damage. But the Pike Beam only does 1 damage to a weapons system, so you might need to use the Ion Blasts at the same time to take down enemy weapons until you can destroy them.
