About this video: FTL: Faster Than Light is a top-down, real-time strategy video game created by indie developer Subset Games where you manage your spaceship and its crew. The spaceship that we're piloting holds critical information to be delivered to an allied fleet eight sectors away. But we are being pursued by a large rebel fleet. We fail to reach the end in this playthrough, but that is ok as this is a roguelike game where we're supposed to get better by trial and error. During our adventure we find ourselves in many different scenarios where we must choose to progress in the game. Combat takes place in pausable real time, where we must manage the ship's subsystems such as shields, weapons and helm. If our ship is destroyed or the crew lost, the game ends in permadeath.
