We start the day off with one of my least favorite ships, the Fed C! The "as intended" challenge we're doing is trying to play and build the different ships as the dev's intended or designed those ships to be played. For Fed C, we use Zoltan suicide boarders and only allow flak weapons for hull damage, since the ship starts with a Flak Artillery. After a pretty rough Sector 1, which I'm SO glad I didn't restart, the game just starts throwing Flak 1's at us! It throws so many, we end up with the Flakkening 2.0! This is only the 2nd time we've gotten 4 flak 1's and a fully upgraded Flak artillery! We don't get 3 automated reloaders, but we DO get Pre-Igniter in sector 8!
