Behold, the video nobody asked for but I made anyway!

Last time I fought against the bugs so thought I'd even it out by fighting against the dumb robot faction. Instead of backpeddling from hordes of melee & projectile spitting enemies (something I'm uniquely suited for), you instead get overwhelmed by hordes of tanky enemies with hitscan weapons and rockets that toss you around like a sack of potatoes, all while trying to get pinpoint shots off on their tiny ass heads.

If it's not obvious by now I absolutely loathe the Automotons. The side objectives are admittedly more interesting than what the bugs have to offer, but combat is less engaging imo as trying to hold your ground often results in quick reinforcement budget depletion, so all that really leaves is circling around objectives and trying your best to avoid fights altogether.

The main issue I have with the bots isn't so much that you need a different playstyle to win against them as much as it is the fact that the bulk of their forces consist of the 2 most annoying enemies ever conceived: Rocket Devastators & Heavy Devastators. One obviously launches a bunch of rockets which instantly causes you to ragdoll if one goes off anywhere near you and the other carries a powerful chaingun that is pinpoint accurate no matter the distance and causes massive amounts of aim punch. They spawn in all the time, are almost always spawned in together, have annoyingly good synergy with one another, can easily incapacitate and/or outright kill the player just by existing on the battlefield, shoot all the damn time, are impervious to basically 90% of your primary weapons, and have tiny ass weak points to shoot... but good luck doing that when you're being flung all over the damn place and you can't return fire because you're getting stunlocked by a chaingun from across the entire map.

I hate them.

Thanks again for watching and as always, stay Serious!
