When you are sitting in a camp and the owner makes it disappear, you stay in a sitting position, but can move around.
When this accidentally happened to me, I decided to "fly/float" around, most especially checking how enemies and cliff edges would react.

Unfortunately the camera is too close to the character in this mode, so an eventless stroll through whole Appalachia wouldn't have been that interesting. Maybe next time with another glitch, when chance gives.
