FIFA 22 92 Icon FUT Captains Lorenzo Insigne player review. Thanks for watching and below is a more detailed review of the card, please leave any suggestions for reviews you would like to see in the comment section.

Pace – This 92 Captains Insigne with 95 pace is what I would consider end game pace. 98 acceleration is almost the maximum you can achieve stat wise which makes him instantly fast from a standing position. He also has 92 sprint speed so his top speed also allows him to keep a distance between him and the defender.

Shooting/attack positioning – 91 attack positioning puts Insigne in the right place at the right time when it comes to building attacks. On the wing he has the ability to create space out wide for you to send a through ball. With the right instructions he can also cat inside and find gaps in your opponent’s defence to go through on goal. Although his finishing is one of the lower shooting stats at 86, I never had any issues with him at all in front of goal. He has enough shot power to take the ball past the goalkeeper before he has time to react. Combine this with his 95 longshots and Insigne is just as clinical outside the box as he is inside it. His volleys and penalties are a bit low at 83 but they are noticeable drawbacks in game really.

Dribbling – This is the highest base stat on his card at 96 and it does not disappoint in game. 95 agility, 98 balance and his height at 5’4 makes him one of the most agile players to use currently in FIFA 22. It puts him the category of players that just feel unique to dribble with in this game like Messi or Salah. Insigne also has 98 ball control and 96 dribbling which means once the ball is at his feet he has total control of its movement which makes him very responsive and difficult to tackle. 85 reactions and 87 composure are also both decent enough stats and do not negatively impact the card.

Passing – The whole of Insigne’s passing category is 90+ rated apart from his crossing at 84, which I have to say felt much better than that in game. His crossing is definitely improved by his vision and curve as Insigne can pick out a player in the box from the wing and get enough whip on the ball to make the cross difficult to defend. Both his short passing and long passing are great for someone in his position and it enables Insigne to be an important player in most attacking build-ups. 93 freekick accuracy with 94 curve also makes him an amazing option for both freekicks and corners.

Defending – Insigne does not offer much defensively so if you like your wide players to come back and defend such as in a 3 at the back formation, he is not a great option for you.

Physicality – Overall this is another weakness of the card. Stamina wise 87 is pretty decent and is basically the only positive in his physical category. Although he might still get tired towards the end of game depending on how much you use him. 56 jumping, 65 heading accuracy and his height at 5’4 essentially makes him useless for receiving headers. Both Insigne’s strength and aggression are rated 38 which can make him very easy to disposes under pressure at times. Although his balance and overall dribbling ability can sometimes keep you in the fight for possession of the ball.

Skill moves and weak foot – Having a 4 star weak foot and 4 star skill moves is essentially a minimum for attacking players at this point in the game. It allows you to perform some of the more advanced skill moves in the game which increases the ways you can beat your opponent. A 4 star weak foot means that both passing and shooting on his weaker left foot does not lose too much power or accuracy compared to his right foot. This is massively important when it comes to crossing as since he is a right footed player on the left side, most of the time you will be crossing using his weak foot.
