GAELCO: Wild Arcade Games From Spain (Part 3/3) Feat. Biomechanical Toy, TH Strikes Back
Throughout the '80s and '90s, Gaelco was the primary developer, manufacturer, and distributor of arcade cabinets in Spain. While some of their machines were released overseas, many of their best and weirdest games only saw limited distribution in parts of Europe. In this series, we're going to use MAME to play every single arcade game Gaelco produced throughout its lifespan.
We bid a fond farewell to Gaelco in this final episode of our arcade catalog miniseries. Highlights include the over-the-top Thunder Hoop sequel TH Strikes Back, the incredibly strange run-and-gun shooter Biomechanical Toy, and Gaelco's first polygonal 3D games. Note: The Gaelco game Squash is also emulated by MAME, but we ended up accidentally skipping it. Great stuff, Gaelco! We're gonna miss you!
