Gallian Crossfire - Barious Desert Hard Skirmish (A Rank Full Clear)
In which we blow up tanks.
As usual, an otherwise fairly reasonable mission is soured by the presence of an unfortunately placed Heavy Tank (and its ridiculously strong and ranged Heavy Tank Gun interception fire). This returns to the usual problem in these missions: finding ways to take out tanks in as few CP as possible. The Heavy Tank eats up three shots, but all other tanks are taken out with one action to make up for this. The infantry units' aggressive kamikaze on Enemy Phase 1 makes this full clear far more feasible. But this requires somewhat specific deployment and movement during Turn 1 to avoid being mowed down by the Scout Elites and their ridiculously long-range/powerful ZM Kar 94 rifles (especially the case for Marina).
Yoko and Audrey are the best choices for Lancers in this mission: both have large +vsArmor% buffs at all times (and so can thankfully remove the non-buffed Light Tanks with one shot), and proc'ing Tank Slayer on top of these buffs at the enemy base camp is the only way to take down the buffed Tank Destroyer in one shot.
I had chosen Yoko to be the Lancer I'd push to the base camp, believing that the probability of Ammo Refill proc'ing at least once after three dice rolls was greater than Audrey's Mooch proc'ing. (I actually don't know what the two potentials' proc rates are to be able to know for sure, but I imagined something like 25% and 50% respectively.) But because Yoko managed to not proc Ammo Refill at any useful moment (i.e., sometime during Turns 2 or 3), I had to use the Resupply Order on Turn 3. And I'm still not sure how Audrey missed that Tank Destroyer's radiator on Turn 2... So technically, if things went perfectly, there would be 2 CP left over upon completing the mission. But hey, at least this strategy is fairly reliable!
