15Twenty six years of Pokémon!
Has it really been that long? It didn't seem that long ago since I first picked up Red and Blue (and in truth it wasn't... more like 23 years ago), and look where it is now! So many games, so many generations, spinoffs, plushies, figures, toys, the list goes on. Now it's the biggest franchise in the world!
So what have Game Freak done to celebrate twenty six years of Pokémon? In my opinion, not a lot. It seems to me that these anniversary updates are mostly just regular updates they decided to release all at the same time. (And who celebrates a 2.5 year anniversary anyway??)
Is this a sign that Game Freak are being too ambitious? I believe so, and theorise as to why.
