Sav'aaq Zelda fans, so I'm fresh off completing the main story of Tears of the Kingdom and I'm here to speculate wildly on the next entry into the series.
So Eiji Aonuma, producer for the Zelda series has said that the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom formula is to be used for the series going forward. And on the one hand it's a great decision, on the other hand I like the old style and will miss that.
But I feel the legend of zelda series has had such a wild and varied style of games over the years and I feel that Skyward Sword inspired some of TOTK design choices. I think that depending on what games they look back on and may re-release going forward they might pull design choices from Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Link between Worlds or any other zelda games that have been released over the years.
