Episode 8 of Game Rental Theater takes us to one of those games that I could have owned if I wanted to, but something held me back.

That game in question was ICO, which I ended up finding in a collection of PlayStation2 demos back in 2002 (coincidentially I didn't get any new PS2 games between getting Jak and Daxter and getting Kingdom Hearts, and that was a 10 month leap; I blame saving up for a Gameboy Advance, lol). Seeing general opinions on the game, I came to the opinion that it had little replay value if anything, and that kind of thing ended up turning me off from getting it no matter how nice the demo looked.

Regardless, I managed to obtain it. And it's in this recording that I went from the first save point in the game to the Large Hall area (the interior before getting to the top of the tower and the trolleys). This is where my webcam starts to get problematic in picking up colors; most of the natural castle tones seem to get really distorted in this, but the good news is that the shadow monsters look so much clearer :p

For the music in this video, see the Viewtiful Joe segment.

Thanks again, and I hope to catch you sometime soon with another game that I end up finding. I wonder what it could be...?
