13Full Review Time! Solarix. AI Gone wrong...haven't heard of that before ;).
Written on the Unreal Engine, this game has immense graphics for an indie game. I enjoyed the story, the charcters, the music, voices and general game play. The one problem with this was it just was not scary and the hardest difficult was still pretty easy, don't get me wrong, you get caught, you are dead but the enemies are easy to avoid due to the large environments and the amount of health packs provided.
As you progress through the story you sense that things are not what they seem, the communication made with you via AMI seems weird and Betty also seems to not be what she says. AS you uncover more lore you realise that EYE and AMI are the same, and you are actually responsible for killing Betty. You are hearing voices and fighting an AI trying to erase you. Can you defeat the AI, escape the planet and the ship and come to terms with what you have done?
Solarix is a science-fiction stealth-horror game featuring open-ended levels for both combative and stealth-focused playstyles. Solarix combines old-school sci-fi horror with next-gen style and graphics. The story follows an electrical engineer desperately fighting for his life after an infection wipes out an interstellar research station. He must contain the disease, battling both the remnants of the crew and his own fracturing mind. Our goal is to go beyond jumpscares and cheap thrills. Solarix is about a world that overpowers you with unease, insecurity, and desperation, forcing you to confront your own role in the horrors to come.
