For a couple years now I have been going back and forth on my current game table. I have finally decided to go all in on doing an upgrade project, and you are invited to follow along at a high level to see how I went about the process of identifying goals, requirements, and doing the build.

The table upgrade will consist of constructing a table topper out of quality hard wood that will be fixed on to the current table. Different design ideas will be presented, as will some ideas as to how you, yes you, can take on such a project even if you do NOT have a shop full of woodworking tools and years of experience.

The first episode introduces the project by identifying its goals, requirements, and constraints, as well a reviewing the personal skills and tool capabilities needed to produce a successful outcome. I'm taking the deep dive here without a net. Will this be an epic fail? Or something massively awesome?
