Hello, thanks for stopping on this video and even for reading the description!

So, I want to learn how to repair electronics and specifically Gameboys - so here is my first Gameboy Colour fix.

I picked this up for around £12 inc delivery, the listing on eBay said it was not working and that it didn't turn on, well they were correct!

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the problem, and with a lot of help from Joerne in the /r/gameboy discord chat, we got to the problem - a faulty DC Jack, removing it will solve this issue.
