In this video we are learning how to create Sprite in GameMaker engine.
Sprite in general in game development and game engines (not just GameMaker) means image, picture.
Your game will probably need some images, unless you are making some text typing adventures, so you will have to learn how to handle them.
But before you import or create Sprite into game engine you have to define some kind of placeholder for it.
That is exactly what we are doing today.
And although it sounds boring and you will have to repeat it a lot in your game development, good thing is that this is very easy and fast procedure.

All you have to do is just right click anywhere in your Asset browser and select Create - Sprite.
And that's it - the Sprite is created !
