In this video we are learning how and when to use Game Maker Studio 2 Drag and Drop Block which is called:
Go To Next Room

This block is part of the Rooms group of blocks.
It is in the first row, second from the left and it has an arrow pointing to the right on it as icon.
As always you just need to drag and drop it to start using it and we are going to use it on Collision - Object Event.
In our game player Object will collide with door (portal) Object which will trigger opening next level/scene (Next Room).
But you can also try experimenting a bit with it on your own, depending on what you need for your game.
Try adding it to some other Object and instead on Collision start it on some other Event like mouse click, button press,...

2:50 - creating door Sprite and door Object
5:15 - adding the Go To Next Room block into Collision - Object Event
7:50 - explaining Room order basics
10:00 - giving some ideas on where in game you can use Go To Next Room block (level selection menu,...)
11:50 - problem of player not showing in Next Room and how to solve it (Persistent checkbox)
15:20 - explaining Room Manager and Room order - it's importance, changing Room order, Next Room meaning,...

This video is a little bit longer, but we have covered a few things which are important for GameMaker Studio 2 long term development, not just this Action Block.
More videos on this topic and this game engine coming soon, so stay tuned.

And of course, until then, keep on learning, coding, developing and experimenting yourself !!!
