3An add-on for the TurboGrafx-16. It came out in Japan during December 4, 1988. It allowed PC-Engine games to play in the form of a CD-Rom as well as the HuCards that were standard. It also made the system the first video game console to make use of CD-ROMs in the form of a storage media. Nearly a year later, it was distributed in the USA during November 1989 with it remodelled as the Turbo Grafx-CD to fit the TurboGrafx-16.
