So Combat Arena is what you get if you take Gorechosen, subtract all the Khorne-y Chaos blood and gore stuff, give it a nicer, cleaner, grimdark- ier sheen and republish it... but only allow it to be sold at Barnes & Noble Bookstores in the US. Good luck if you're anywhere else.
Our initial playthrough we all felt it was a bit different in terms of characters but it definitely lacked a lot of the goofy fun that Gorechosen brought. Every time we played it always resulted in yelling and attracting a crowd. Probably helped that it was painted.
...but yeah, anyways. Combat Arena. This game uses all the hero models from the most recent Black Stone Fortress expansion. Why? Why not? They're nice models! Everything is push fit and goes together well. Plus this is half the price of the BSF expansion if you're just eyeing the hero models.
