Games Workshop: Gotrek Gurnisson unboxed and built!
49I have a weird relationship with dwarf models. I'm never really a fan, but end up painting just about every hero model that GW and many other companies have made over the years. Go figure.
I think Gotrek is just about as iconic as Grombrindal and this model definitely delivers on the epicness of the figure.
Surprisingly there are two bases included- a little scenic piece or a massive pile of dead skaven and debris. I stuck with the smaller one just because it's less work to paint!
Gotrek is the only model I can think of that had a multi part mowhawk. I don't think even the Avatars of War plastic berserkers had that.
Only downside is the price. I've said that many times with GW models, but I've always felt that way towards the dwarfs just because you tend to get less bang for your buck. At least a big Stormcast hero takes up more volume and feels like a better use of money. Ah well. Gotrek is pretty awesome looking once he's done though!
