The Kama$15.85 at Amazon is, at least among gaming platforms, exclusively for the PS4 and PS Vita. Its wired connection consists of a single 3.5mm plug that connects to your DualShock 4 controller or Vita. You'd need additional adapters to connect it to any other system. Even for the PC, it would only function as a headphone pair unless you got a 3.5mm female-to-male headset splitter. On the bright side, its connector is ideal for working with most mobile devices, so you can use it as a phone headset with a boom mic just by plugging it in; I was able to use it with my Google Nexus 5 just fine.Design
For a $30 headset, the Kama is well-built and fairly well-designed. The black headset is striped with blue accents, and while the glossy plastic on the outsides of the earcups and the headband feels slightly cheap, the rectangular earcups themselves and the top of the headband are modestly padded with comfortable foam. Despite the latter, the on-ear design and slightly stiff headband adjustment can press uncomfortably on larger ears when you wear them for longer periods of time.
The Tritton Kama is an incredibly inexpensive, functional headset that should satisfy your casual mobile and Sony gaming needs. For $30, it's a significant upgrade over the little earbud that comes with the PlayStation 4 (and the nothing that comes with the PS Vita), and it's perfectly functional for listening to music or making calls on your smartphone as well. If Tritton included a 3.5mm adapter to plug it into a computer's separate headphone and microphone ports, it would be a really appealing general-use gaming and phone headset. As it is, it's a solid PlayStation accessory that happens to work very well with your smartphone.
