This is what happens when I play Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa on an old Dell Inspiron 1501. Featuring t-posing Alex the lion 🦁, flickering trees and motionless Zebra 🦓.
My guess on what's going on here is that the game requires Hardware T&L but the integrated graphics chip on this laptop does not support that and the game did not properly check for the feature.
