Garfield Caught In The Act Playthrough (SEGA GENESIS/MEGA DRIVE) (DEATHLESS)
The last time I saw this game was probably about 20 yrs ago at a neighbors' house and I never got to try it since he had been marathoning it for 4 hrs and had made some serious progress and was near the end of the game...and no one was going to interrupt him either. So I never did play it and nor did I think about it afterwards since he lost his last life and quit then put The Addams Family game on instead (happened to be the first time I played that game funny enough). I ran across this game about a year ago in a local collectibles store and picked it up complete in box for around $20 and I recognized instantly as the game I had seen all those years ago. Took it home and then I didn't even try it for about 6 months until I was recovering at home from some day surgery and decided to plug it in and give it a try. I ended up beating it first try and loving it too in the process. The reasons that I ended up liking it so much were because it was actually a fun game for starters and very much reminded me of the cartoon from the 80's and 90's. Add in a good soundtrack, varied level locales (my favorite level is the Egyptian Pyramid level), responsive control and a nicely balanced difficulty and it ended up being a very enjoyable game and I instantly did this playthrough following me beating the game on the console that night while everything was still fresh in my head. Overall its a very nice and fair platformer (which is a real rarity since most games based on cartoons seem to be downright barbaric in difficulty....Ren & Stimpy anyone?) that's totally worthy of your time if you happen to try it or run across a copy in your travels since I will argue that its totally underappreciated and forgotten gem of a game!
Hope you Enjoy!
