Let's try again. I had to redo this because I managed to put Cait in the party instead of Tifa last time. I also decided to wait until after the Gold Saucer before doing the Flapbeat battle, as that not only makes the segment less luck relaint, but also means I can build up Cloud's limit break more easily. Not to mention I get one less battle on the way to the temple.

I got into a battle with two Flapbeats on the arena this time, and they both managed to attack before I could steal, but at least they didn't use Flying Sickle. In other words, I lost a couple of seconds there compared to last time, but at least I didn't make any stupid mistakes elsewhere.

Now that this segment has been put behind, I'm more than halfway through the speed run. Thankfully, the second half is NOWHERE near as hard as the first half, so I'm really confident I'll finish it by the end of the year now.
