The vines blocking your path in Eastway turned into heartberries, which means you can remove them. This game's logic is so messed up.

You have to flip some switches to get through, but it's revealed the other side has a snow biome, so you need to run back home to get your warm coat.
You can also grind against the bats here if you need more potions. They can also drop Black Material, which is useful for crafting purposes if you're on the fighter route.

There's an infinite item glitch in Amanda's house, but I recommend you don't abuse it, since it could make it harder to keep track of other hidden items in this region.
Whatever you do, don't wake up Amanda's cat, or you'll miss out on a sidequest that gives you the 3rd magic thread. I'm so nettled over it.

You see a portal on a ledge, but that's actually the 6th portal, so you should ignore it for now.
The statue in the church is capable of fully healing robots, so you don't need to use that charging machine anymore.
You need to go to the pub to get information about portal 5, which is in the Garuda's lair. You need permission from the priest to enter that lair.
Unlike me, save one chest key for the lair, since it turns out that Fire Cannon III is in there.
Be sure to talk to Amanda before entering the lair.

Give Amanda's cheese to the Garuda in order to gain access to portal 5.

You can challenge the Temple Arena, but it makes you fight a powerful mob of four soldiers and it costs you 100 cents to initiate the event. You can get more out of the 100 cents by choosing to do consecutive battles, but it's difficult at this point of the game. These soldiers can rarely drop items needed to trade with a skeleton NPC.

1:00:30 Early Demon of Doom
Due to a glitch, I got a guaranteed encounter with the Demon of Doom upon landing on the first red node. It's insanely strong compared to the dungeon boss, but it drops a Joker armor. Unfortunately, it's immediately followed by a mob from the dungeon, which killed me.

I ended up having to fight it again because of the glitch. Fortunately, the dev recently put in a hotfix to make sure it only spawns when it's truly supposed to. I guess they had a guaranteed spawn before for testing purposes? However, I might not be able to encounter it ever again if I'm understanding the open source files correctly, since I already have the item it drops.
The mobs are no joke, since they have powerful AOEs. Harvest in particular is guaranteed to kill you if your HP is less than 25%.
If you're a Joker, hopefully you got some angel cards to drop, since they teach a skill that both removes ailments and gives temporary ailment immunity.

They seem easy at first, but eventually, they'll use a skill called Charon's Coin, which has a 50% chance of either dealing squat or dealing instakill damage. Sadly, non-Tinkers only have one means of revival at this point, and the robot with the revival skill ended up getting killed by this skill.
