Gauntlet: Dark Legacy [PS2] - 01 - Poisoned Fields
1So after finishing the most recent reboot of Gauntlet, I figured I'd go back and play a game I haven't played since the arcade. Maybe that was Legends, actually.. can't fully recall. My brother and I loved it at the time though. We only played it once before a movie, and we are both PC guys.. so the game kinda fell by the wayside for us.
Anyway, options abound character-wise... but I stuck with Valkyrie for consistency. Considered going old school with Wizard, or something new with Knight.. but eh.
Honestly, I'm feeling like I should have went with Knight. This era of female characters being allergic to armor was never really my thing. We'll see if it gets better with level ups.
Regardless, we take on Poisoned Fields here. A typical starting level, which introduces us to the game and its mechanics.. sorta. This is a time when you were expected to read instruction manuals (I miss 'em, honestly). You'd never know about melee combo attacks otherwise.
