Gauntlet Legends in Blast City part 1
1Trying to get Gauntlet Legends running in my Blast City. I bought two sets of War: Final Assault boards and am converting one to run Gauntlet Legends and Gauntlet Dark Legacy. Unfortunately my first attempt didn't work. One or more of my chips is not correct. I am on the right track though.
UPDATE: There are two different types of Vegas boards, the boards that ran Gauntlet Legends can be update to run Dark Legacy, but the boards that were released with Dark Legacy can't run Legends. The later boards are labeled 'Durango' on the middle board near the VGA port. I bought a Dark Legacy security chip and was able to run it fine. Another note is that the sound chips for all the Vegas games have the same checksum, so you don't need to buy or burn one when changing games - just get the security chip, boot chip and burn the game HD image from MAME to a HD.
