Apologies for the messy gameplay in the video, I suck. Game also kinda lagged when I was starting the raid, so I closed the tab to be absolutely sure it doesn’t fail.

In this video I was still pretty new to this, and you'll see that my execution of the whole last host thing was a little messy too. Nowadays I simply have home open in another Chrome tab, and I just close the coop tab as soon as the raid starts loading.

First of all: I DO NOT RECOMMEND people to actually do this as a normal thing. If you do, explicitly tell the people in your run that you will do this, and make sure someone else, most likely the wet, is prepared to take PL the old-fashioned way.

Apart from the fact that last also happens to be the host, the raid flow is exactly the same, and you operate as a standard last; join at wing 50%, survive until your buncles are up and clear the wing buff (note: wing buff is instantly removed if you move in break)

Here’s how it works: join triggers, such as the 30k plain Paradise Lost in this raid, or the ones in Apollo HL or Four Primarchs are processed by the game once you see the READY screen. As soon as you even get a glimpse of it, the join trigger had already happened. What you do is start the raid, and as soon as you see that the game processed the request to start the raid (the game will start loading), you have a brief window in which you can quickly go home without the game processing your join trigger yet. For obvious reasons this is easier to accomplish with bad ping (mine is 280ms and my window is like 3-4s or so). If you want to practice this, try any raid in co-op with a friend.

Once everyone gets in, the raid will tell them there are 6/6 people in the raid. The game adds you to the list of players in a raid if you’re on the co-op screen when it starts (I guess this means this method is sabo-proof, lol). When the people in your run tell you that labours are up, you can join, and your join trigger will process and clear the PL labour. The raid continues as normal.
It seems like you can easily tell if this succeeds or not, since if the raid started and you haven’t seen READY, the join trigger should not have been processed. If you do see READY that obviously means you’ve failed, but at least since this happens at the very start of the raid you can tell the people in your run to prepare to tank PL.
