as of today the Exman situation battle is now old content so i doubt anyone will read this but i'll finish up my overviews.
The Gelgoog Cannon (JN) is the lone support in a sea of raids this does put it in a seemingly precarious spot however it more than has the means to protect itself thanks to high damage combo of it's shoulder bazooka into beam rifle , build stun support of it's arm grenades and the ability to spot out a target with the last one hurting the enemy as thier greatest strength is confusion and this limits that.
Starting off with it's match up against the Base Nightseeker which unsurprisingly it just completely crushes being able to hit it from outside it's range with the beam sniper, hit it with a bazooka into beam sniper or spot it out to be picked off all in all just ruining it's day.
Against the Nightseeker II it has an interesting dynamic while it does have an unfavourable match up if left alone with one it can do a lot to make it's team's job easier by stunning it when it stops to attack, helping with build stun with the missile pod or spotting it out to let your heavy hitter know where the juicy target is and as a las resort the lack of a roll means landing a stun can lead to downswing then into a beam sniper shot for impressive damage.
The V undoubtable has the edge over the JN in any situation where it's either by itself or gets the jump on you as it can easily stun either with two quick shots, a charged one, a heavy stagger from the Sea Serpent or just landing a melee strike all of which it can combo until an ally stops it which makes keeping track of it either by spotting it or learning it's approach patterns important so you can use your allies to keep it away from you at all times so you can melt it's allies.
