It turns out I was pretty close to the end on Gears Tactics. Was only like five missions from the end. One last boss fight, and that's a wrap. Luckily my crew had some good sniper and support builds, because I wouldn't have remembered how to remake them.

Having played Daemonhunters after the fact, I can see they borrowed some of Gears mini-innovations, like 3 action turns, guaranteed partial cover effects, and for better or worse the skill branch character trees. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/shanewegner
