The Geekom GT1 Mega is a high-performance mini-PC built around Intel's Core U9 185H processor. Equipped with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and a spacious 2 TB SSD, this compact device is designed to handle demanding tasks with ease. The system also includes cutting-edge wireless technology, featuring Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for fast and reliable connectivity. Pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, the GT1 Mega comes with the operating system fully activated right out of the box.

One of the standout features of the GT1 Mega is its thoughtful selection of ports, aimed at enhancing compatibility with a wide range of devices. On the front panel, you'll find four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, acknowledging the continued prevalence of USB-A devices. However, users seeking a USB-C connection on the front will need to look to the back, as none are available up front. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also located on the front, making it easy to connect wired headsets. For additional security, a Kensington lock slot is located on the side of the device.

Connectivity continues to be a strength, as the GT1 Mega includes dual 2.5 Gbps LAN ports. This allows for high-speed, wired internet connections, ideal for those who require stable and fast network performance. Another noteworthy upgrade is the device's ability to support both a 4K and an 8K display simultaneously—something that was not possible with previous models. While this capability couldn't be fully tested due to the lack of an 8K display, it's a promising feature for users with high-end monitor setups. At the rear, you'll find two USB-C 4.0 ports, one of which can provide up to 15 watts of power to external monitors. These ports are also compatible with external GPUs, providing flexibility for users requiring more graphics power.

Under the hood, the GT1 Mega boasts a 2 TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 SSD. Although the specific model—CT2000P3PSSD8—may not be widely known, it delivers solid performance with read speeds of 5036.15 MB/s and write speeds of 4369.44 MB/s. Despite this, the SSD's performance in the 3DMark Storage Benchmark is somewhat average, scoring 1,753 points compared to the typical score of around 2,208 for SSDs of this class.

As for the processor, the Intel Core U9 185H brings serious power with 16 cores, 22 threads, and 24 MB of cache. It scored 7,098 points in the PC Mark Extended Benchmark, while the standard edition reached 7,860 points. With integrated AI features such as Intel AI Boost, the processor is optimized for tasks like office work, where artificial intelligence can assist with efficiency. The system also includes dual-channel RAM, which is upgradable to a maximum of 64 GB, and features Intel ARC graphics, ensuring smooth visuals.

To keep everything running cool, Geekom has implemented its proprietary IceBlast 2.0 cooling system, similar to what is used in other models from the brand. This helps maintain performance while minimizing noise and heat.

Thanks to its VESA mount compatibility, the GT1 Mega can be mounted behind a monitor, making it a sleek and unobtrusive addition to any workspace. Geekom proudly markets the GT1 Mega as the "new leader" in mini-PCs, and given its hardware and price point, it indeed stands at the top of their portfolio.

The Geekom GT1 Mega is currently available for €1,199 on Amazon, and by using the discount code GEEKOMGT1, buyers can save 5% off the purchase price.
