I take a look at Holdfast: Nations at War with the new 2.0 Update. It also takes you to World War 1 for free! Holdfast is a massively multiplayer shooter and depends a lot on the player base. Since I just wanted to play and did not join a specific event (which may well take place at certain times), I had problems finding players for the new mode and thus show the classic mode as well, that is decently populated. I think in order to get the REAL experience, you have to actively engage with the community and become part of it. It is not a "shooter" where you can just join a server and get the more or less full experience. That is what I do though and I think it is a game worth your time if you have enough time to get organised.
