Genesis Does! Ishido: The Way of Stones (and Lawsuits)
5This game is far more interesting for the legal precedents it set than the actual gameplay itself. In fact Ishido: The Way of Stones is pretty banal. There's no background music, there's no distinctive animation, there's just tiles being slapped on a board next to their like color or set. There's some fun to be had here but you have to invent a lot of it yourself. The fact that Sega sued Accolade over getting an unlicensed game to run on the Genesis is what really makes this story worth telling.
