The material for the video have been recorded ages ago, but I managed to edit the video only now. This is a matter of two free evenings, I don't know why it always takes me so much time.

TL;DR: Don't be slaves of the meta. You can complete the entire game, including 36 stars of the Abyss, by playing characters that YOU like. Even as F2P. Thoroughly searching the most effective setups that are easy to play by any, not mention about abusing such setups, in such a simple and multifaceted game is an entire new level of gamer weakness and incompetence. You are better than this.

Genshin Impact is a good gacha game. Compared to other gacha games, there are not very many characters here, but a huge plus is that every one of them is unique, has a whole bunch of its own features. Simply put, there are NO bad characters here. And the matter is not even that, but how the strengths of the characters are being combined. As in any other RPG, teams need to be built in such a way that characters would compensate for each other's weaknesses and better reveal their strengths. Of course, there are characters that are more difficult to use than others. But it doesn't make them worse. In fact, in some ways they are even better, because they are more interesting in their gameplay. And now in Genshin there is a whole cult for one-button and big numbers. To put it simply, incompetent players spread prejudice:

"If a character with an ult does not have a lot of damage or does not allow others to make large numbers, then this character is bad"

To think this way, not to mention about spreading it, is just a new level of gamer incompetence and, simply put, noobity. In fact, it is possible to achieve good DPS by other methods, for example, due to the quantity of attacks instead of their quality and/or through reactions that are independent of character’s damage. Not to mention the fact that there are mechanics that are difficult to use that people have not even tried to implement due to their very inability to play. That is, these ignorant ones who do not know how to play properly play this way: 1, E, Q, 2, E, Q, 3, E, Q, 4, E, Q - and so on. Interesting gameplay, huh... Optionally, certain E may be skipped, but this does not change the essence: they prefer dumb, characters without interesting play like Zhongli (well, or they themselves make initially mechanical characters one-button) to those characters who have more difficult to play, advanced mechanics, simply because that they CANNOT play differently and CANNOT figure out how to play differently. And not only do they abuse such casual play (which, by the way, is no better than playing through mechanics, which, in turn, often turns out to be EVEN MORE EFFICIENT WITH LESS USING RESOURCES), they also behave defiantly. Every time a player comes up with new, interesting ideas, they start to make sarcastic remarks and/or being toxic by any other way. Just HOW can they fall that low?! And all of this considering the fact that THIS GAME CAN BE FULLY COMPLETED BY ANY CHARACTERS, THEY JUST NEED TO HAVE GOOD SYNERGIES WITH EACH OTHER. Hence the question: why in such a casual game, which is not even a PvP one, so many toxic players?! And why are the opinions of hysterical noobish streamers and other incompetent video bloggers who produce their "reviews" of characters like a carbon copy of each other (probably because they have NO opinion of their own, due to their incompetence), are put ahead of really interesting ideas?

Don't be like that. This game is not so difficult that it cannot be played as F2P, if a player correctly approaches the essence of what they are doing, even by playing non-meta characters, but which the player likes. You just need to take advantages of their mechanics and connect them between each other repeatedly increasing efficiency, and play the resulting team in the right way. And let noobs mindlessly choose characters following the logic of third grade of elementary school "more number means better", playing through one button on each character (even though they themselves may not like the characters), following instructions of incompetent masses, thinking that this somehow makes them better. That doesn't. And you are better than them.
