Geo Mythica - Demo Playthrough
18A demo playthrough of Geo Mythica, an upcoming RPG where you're playing as a kid who becomes the chosen one for a book of maps to find orbs that makes imagination real with an evil corporation out to nab them. Also with casual walking across continents.
Looks pretty neat so far as the gameplay is pretty solid. Each character has their own class skills and playstyle on top of being able to assign magic to them (and swap it up to other characters as needed). Hard difficulty makes enemies hit for hefty damage (especially if you let their strong attacks go off) so you get far less leeway in making mistakes. Losing battles is a slap on the wrist as you just reset to before the fight.
I kind of screwed up with the temple boss as I wasn't aware that there should be items you can buy to cure burn/freeze (and I was told Liliana's Salve move can be boosted to cure status effects but alas I didn't learn the move until after the boss) so I ended up burning through a bunch of consumables to win. As well, I'm not sure if there's a viable way to kill the red bat near where Liliana joins without having Gio kite it around as Gio will get KO'ed long before it dies if he tries to tank hits.
Much like with Chrono Trigger, you can bring party members to Gio's home to have his mother make comments about them.
