Wide receiver Rodarius "RaRa" Thomas, who transferred to Georgia from Mississippi State this offseason, was arrested by UGA police on Monday morning on a felony charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of family violence (first offense). Thomas was booked in the Athens-Clarke County jail at 4:04 a.m. Monday morning and is listed as still incarcerated as of 7:45 a.m.

Thomas is coming off his sophomore season at Mississippi State and has two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Eufaula, Alabama native committed to Georgia on Dec. 22 over offers from several other schools, including Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn and Tennessee. He initially entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2.

Thomas was expected to step up as Georgia’s starting X receiver following the departure of wide receiver AD Mitchell, who entered the transfer portal last week and committed to Texas on Friday.
