Around two thousand pupils were sent home from British forces schools across Germany today because of soaring temperatures in the classroom. Nine schools closed because of the unusually hot weather, which has seen record highs of nearly 40 degrees celsius in recent days. Plus the Rheindahlen Military Complex in Germany is cleaning up after a snap storm at lunchtime today described by eyewitnesses as a tornado.
