There is a section 80EEB has been introduced allowing a deduction for interest paid on loan taken for the purchase of electric vehicles from the AY 2020-21.

In short if you are buying a new Electric Nexon or Ola or Ather Bike, and take a loan you will get a deduction upto Rs 1.5 lakh. For more exact deduction you can refer to the EV Company who can give more details.

The loan has to be sanctioned by the financial institution during 1/4/19 to 31/3/23
