Hi its Sue here with Get to the Farm
Are you interested in learning about gardening, cooking, building, and homesteading skills? Do you want to get your hands dirty and connect with nature? Then you're in the right place! In this video, we'll take you on a journey to visit farms where you can learn these skills firsthand. We'll show you how to grow your own vegetables, cook delicious meals with fresh ingredients, build structures from natural materials, and live off the land. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced homesteader, you'll find something to inspire and educate you in this immersive farm experience. So, grab your boots and let's get started!

First a big welcome to:    / @solace_sage

Stopping in at    / @tealhousefarm  , we learn about customizing our own rice-a-roni mix and take a look at a garden template.

We welcome the sunshine and take a garden tour with    / @growingwhat-i-eat   .

We tagged along with Eden's Family Farm    / @edenssidanelvigalogesvi   at the Keepers of the Old Ways Conference in Alabama, joining like minded people to share ideas and have fun.

Josh at    / @shermansfamilyfarm   shows us about the Deep Water Culture method of hydroponic peppers.

As we northerners wait for the soil to warm to allow us to plant potatoes, we pitch in at @GrowingwithHudson. and help get the potatoes in and Growing with Hudson.

We can get a headstart of a couple weeks by planting in tire stacks, it allows us to keep raising the soil around our potato starts and holds down plastic to protect them from spring frosts. See our Look at tire potatoes linked at the end of this video.

The folks at Old Hippie Homesteaders    / @oldhippyhomesteaders   show us how to save money by buying on sale and canning for the future.

We are joining    / @livingandcooking   for some bbq ribs and potato salad.

From fixit chores with    / @mountainspringhomestead   to getting the new barn in at Cog Hill Farm, as the weather get more stable, the building projects commence across the homestead!

While for some getting the barn in might make you a homesteader, we want to offically welcome    / @the_offgridfamily   as full flegded homesteaders.... they got Chickens! As everyone knows, chickens are the gateway to homesteading and this young family who live completely off grid in the UK are well on their way to self sufficency.
