3.19 (Kalandra) update 11-Oct-2022: It's actually better again this league (at least now) - Shaper is a 55c guaranteed profit at the time I type this, with a few % chance to get a Dominance Orb.

3.17's buffs to Shaper's loot pool (the addition of the Maven's Orb, now called Orb of Dominance) took it from a mediocre currency generation strategy to a fairly good one. Also the decision to have an endgame grind around Shaper Guardians made the entry fee even cheaper.

If you can beat the Breachlord invitation - farm that or The Feared instead.

For everyone looking to get to that point - you should consider farming The Shaper.
