The Ghost in the Shell stand Alone Complex series spawned by the hit film which in turn is based on the manga by Masamune Shirow is an iconic 2 season series and also an additional film the Solid State Society which is based in the mid-twenty-first century in the fictional Japanese city of Niihama follows the special-operations task-force made up of former military officers and police detectives working for Public Section 9 lead by the strong female lead character Motoko Kusanagi.
