Probably one of the few "anime games" I have actually finished (besides "Berserk: Millennium Falcon").
I have the PS1 Ghost in the Shell game, but I never finished it.
Speaking of which, I only watched the OG animated movie of Ghost in the Shell, and I have only watched the first episode of "Stand Alone Complex", but I have watched the Stand Alone Complex intro a billion times though (thanks to Adult Swim).
There is a couple things to note about the difficulty settings of this game.
There is a total of 10 difficulties in this game (on the American version at least), and anything after "aggressive" is pretty much bullshit, because the way how the difficulty works in this game is: the higher the difficulty, the less HP you have in your health pool, the enemies become even more bullet spongey (making clean starts/no bonus weapons damn near impossible), and there's more enemies in some levels.
Basically the higher the difficulty; the more sadistic/masochistic the game gets.
