Ghost in the Shell Tank Scene Super Slow Motion
I wanted to test a couple of features in Adobe Premiere one of which being Optical Flow. This is useful for blending frames that uses how the frame is shaped instead of just blending two frames together. Sometimes you get weird results, but sometimes you can get some crazy good slow motion. Most of the frames in this snippet don't actually exist in the movie.
Interestingly enough, the movie is animated with a lot of alternating frames (something is in motion while other things are not... A and B frames) These set of scenes are weird because the actual explosion of Motoko looks slow motion, but it wasn't drawn like slow motion. They just held each frame a little longer instead of drawing in those frames. If they had Optical Flow technology back in 1995, this would be animated a lot quicker.
