Ghost Lake Ice Driving - Winter driving thoughts (2016 Subaru WRX)

A few friends from my local Subaru forum went out for an afternoon on the lake (which is 20"+ frozen) for some ice / winter snow driving! Although I'm very inexperienced compared to some of the friends I was there with, I still had a great experience driving the WRX on the ice and furthered my knowledge on driving on very icy conditions by feeling first hand how the car handles!
Overall, the WRX performed very well on the ice with the Nokian Hakka R2 winter tires. The traction control (and torque vectored AWD control) made a significant difference, and I can safely say it does its job. I turned it off at some points for a little fun to see how it really handles, and it performed exactly how a Subaru should!!
