Ghost of Tsushima movie update, DOOM on a tractor and more - WGR
‘John Wick’ director Chad Stahelski has revealed that his new ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ movie will be in Japanese, with an all-Japanese cast.
We’d previously heard that Sony Pictures and Playstation Productions were developing
a movie based on the class game where you played as samurai Jin Sakai fighting Mongols in feudal Japan.
Obviously the game was heavily influenced by the movies of japanese director Akira Kurosawa, and there was even a Kurosawa Mode in the game which allowed you to play in Black and White and in the style of his movies.
Stahelski - who has a pretty fantastic ability to choreograph action himself - previously said Kurosawa was “in the top five biggest influences of my life as far as film goes."
The combat in Ghost of Tsushima was something else, so we’re certainly looking forward to seeing what this movie will be like. God, it’s going to be so WINDY.
Doom is now playable on a tractor. That’s right…
In the past we’ve reported that the classic 1993 shooter being playable on an iPod nano, pregnancy tests, and even inside Doom itself (for some kind of Doom-ception) but running the game on a John Deere tractor takes the biscuit.
Now when someone asks you “How’s she cuttin’?”, you’ll know they mean “How're you gettin on cuttin through all those hordes of demons released from Hell”
Speaking of Mods, some genius has added Stan Lee himself to the newly released PC version of ‘Spider-Man’
There is a slightly surreal quality to the mod as Stan Lee's lips don't move, and seeing a 90-something man leap around like Spider-Man is quite strange, but the charm is unquestionable.
The PC port should keep us happy until the Venom-featuring sequel lands in 2023.
Excelsior!
